Your Auction Title Means Everything on eBay

October 21st, 2007 · No Comments · You Tube News

The title of your auction can make or break you on ebay, especially when you are just beginning to Learn to sell your stuff on eBay. Many people don’t realize the importance of their auction title. I’m sure you have seen auctions that have words like L@@K, WOW, etc…in the title; believing that it gets attention.

Well, the truth is that unless someone is just browsing auctions; these ones will never even be seen. Besides the fact that if someone is simply browsing auctions, they are probably not planning on buying anything. In today’s fast paced world, people go to auction sites or anywhere online for that matter in an effort to save time and purchase the things they need right away. The majority of ebay users search items by using the search box, and I don’t know of anyone who would be looking for a product called L@@K.

My point is; ebay only gives you 55 characters to write your title. I personally try to pack those 55 characters with as many relevant keywords as I possibly can. TIP:(the title doesn’t necessarily have to be a sentence). I want each word in the title to be a possible keyword that a user might search for when looking for the product I am selling.

Remember, you have unlimited space in the description to use hype (if that’s your style). Weather you’re a seasoned veteran, or just beginning to Learn to sell your stuff on eBay. ; unless you get traffic to your ebay listing–it’s not going to sell.
